A to Z Bookish Survey Tag

Originally posted on 11th June 2016

Hello, book pandas

The blogs I keep track of are making tags that I want to do at a later stage. But when I saw this one on Габриела Николова‘s blog, I was interested in it and I decided to try, although my collection and the experience with the books are not very big. Perhaps it will become a uniform XD

I tag everyone who wants to make this tag, because it’s actually quite fun and enjoyable. I think I’ll re-enact June to “the month in which all teachers decide to experience and leave no time for life,” and that’s one of the reasons I give you this tag. Enjoy reading 🙂

Author you’ve read the most books from:

I guess L.J.Smith wins here. I have eight books from The Vampire Diaries series.

Best Sequel Ever:

I don’t think I can say which one is the best. Perhaps Girl of Nightmares because I didn’t expect it to have a sequel, and when I saw it in the bookstore I just couldn’t help buying it.

Currently Reading:

I still read “The Picture of Dorian Gray”. With 10-15 weeks of testing and testing I don’t have time and I forgot where exactly I left the book … -.-

Drink of Choice While Reading:

Definitely coffee. I can’t live without coffee. But hot chocolate happens if it’s three o’clock in the morning and there’s no way I can make coffee without quarreling.

Ereader or Physical Book?

Like every book rat, I prefer to hold the book in my hands, browse the pages and feel its scent. Ebooks do not have these benefits.

Fictional Character You Probably Would Have Actually Dated In High School:

OMG Adrian ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ Adrian Ivashkov from Vampire Academy. He is my favorite character. I love everything in him. No one can replace Adrian. He will always be my best of all. And always on such a question I first think of him. Well, I won’t complain on Rhage or Zsadis from The Black Dagger Brotherhood. Any of the brothers in general. Heheheh. And, of course, to mention my first book love, Damon’s image in The Vampire Diaries. An incredible hero with an interesting past and essence.

Glad You Gave This Book A Chance:

The Perks of Being a Wallflower.

Hidden Gem Book:

I don’t know.

Important Moment in your Reading Life:

In my opinion, the most important moment in a reader’s life is when he finds it. Not everyone likes reading and so on. And it is a very valuable and important moment when you understand that you are keen on reading that your books are like drugs. This is a moment when you discover a part of yourself. My moment was when a friend, knowing I liked The Vampire Diaries show, gave me the first book in the series. My reader’s adventure began with it.

Just Finished:

None at the moment.

Kinds of Books You Won’t Read:

I read everything that grabs me. But I prefer to avoid romance and science fiction. They’re just not my type.

Longest Book You’ve Read:

Harry Potter and the order of the phoenix – 856 pages

Major book hangover because of:

It was one from The Vampire Diaries series. I can’t remember exactly which one. Fifth or Sixth, I’ll lie. As I was reading, especially the second half, I did not know where I was and what happened to me. I could not control my emotions and feelings. I think I was completely lost in that book.

Number of Bookcases You Own:

Once a friend made me take pictures of all the books I have, I realized that they are much more than I think. I just have never read them, and I will hardly ever read them.

So, the books don’t have an official library. They’re just scattered on different shelves, making seven shelves, I think. One, of which double (41 books), and one very long (and it around 40). Others are 7-10. Depends on the thickness.

One Book You Have Read Multiple Times:

Half of the books I own (I personally own around 20).

Preferred Place To Read:

The bed and the armchair most often. Then where I was given the opportunity to read. Bus, school, somewhere outside.

Quote that inspires you/gives you all the feels from a book you’ve read:

Reading Regret:

I regret nothing!

Series You Started And Need To Finish(all books are out in series):

The series that starts with Eragon. I don’t know its name. It is complete and I want to read it. And many others, of course. In my list are mostly sequences.

Three of your All-Time Favorite Books:

That’s the hardest thing in my life. Okay. 1. The perks of being a wallflower. 2. Anna dressed in blood. 3. I don’t know. Can’t choose.

Unapologetic Fangirl For:

Male heroes mostly. Fantasy and Horror. Embossed covers. *whispers in the back – Harry Potter, Kpop and fanfics*

Very Excited For This Release More Than All The Others

I don’t have.

Worst Bookish Habit:

I kept the books intact. It irritates me even if one corner is crushed, not to mention if there is some ink defect somewhere, or when a fool has blurred the letters while he was reading.

X Marks The Spot: Start at the top left of your shelf and pick the 27th book:

Most shelves in my room are small and do not reach 27, but I will combine a few aaaaand…. The Alchemyst by Michael Scott. Book one of The Secrets of the Immortal Nicholas Flamel series. The book is one of the few that I have in English.

Your latest book purchase:

A bulgarian prose book.

ZZZ-snatcher book (last book that kept you up WAY late):

Eternal Lover. I didn’t leave her until I read it. I do not know why, but I didn’t sit late to read The Picture of Dorian Gray.

BookTube-A-Thon – Results!

Hello, book pandas 🐼

2017-07-29 03.22.58 1.jpgI know it’s kinda too late for this but I still wanna do it. I had a few problems and other things so I had no time to write or read so much. But however, now i’m here.

As always, the book marathon ended with a thunder and a bang. Of all seven categories for which I had planned three books, I only finished one. ONE!

2017-07-29 02.jpgI have read The perks of being a wallfoler entirely outside. I tried to read it for a day, but alas, my possibilities are weak. Perhaps if I had begun it earlier, not at 2 in the evening … but however.

I started Clockwork Angel and read more than 200 pages within the marathon.

The first day I watched the Twitter events, but the phone constantly distracted me and gave up. Obviously, to participate in such a thing, you have to have plenty of free time and 0% side life. No, seriously. I took a loot at a few people’s reading lists. How do you read a heavy book, and at least for me, a heavy book in less than a day? HOW??2017-07-25 09.49.07 1.jpg

These people are amazing in their abilities, but the more I look at them, the more I appreciate and enjoy my own slow reading.

What do you think about fast reading?

Cheating at BookTube-A-Thon?

C9OCWLnWsAMdsreThat’s right! I’m going to cheat on this book thing and I’m not ashamed of that.

Hello, little book pandas 🐼

Today I’m here to show you my plans for this great thing called BookTube-A-Thon. It’s the first time I hear about it, but I want to try join in. For me it’s all for fun and for reading books for pleasure, not for competition and some kind of prises. But there’s one small problem.

I can’t do it.

Whenever I try to do something like that, I fail miserebly. It’s for fun but I also want to succseed. So I decided to make it in a different way.

There are seven categories:

Booktubeathon 2017 Prompts.jpg

For me it’s impossible to do the last one, so they are six now. For those six categorie/challanges I prepared three books.

  1. Burial Rites by Hannah Kent
  2. The Infernal Devices: Clockwork Angel by Cassandra Clare
  3. The Perks of Being a Wallflower by Stephen Chbosky

I know I post this in the last moment but I hope It will be a fun week full of books 🙂
